5 Ways to Eat Healthy on a Budget
Being on a (tight) budget shouldn’t interfere with your healthy eating. You can be on a budget and eat healthy. Let’s look at these 5 things that you can do while on a budget to eat healthy:
1. Divide your food budget in monthly and weekly
Divide your total food budget in a monthly and a weekly category. That way it is way easier to keep track of your spending and you will know how much you are able to spend each week.
2. Shop online
It is easy to keep track of the total amount of the groceries if you shop online. You can then remove items until the grocery amount match your budget amount. That way you’ll sure to not go over budget.
3. Bulk up your meals with lots of vegetables
The more vegetables you include in your meals, the less other more expensive ingredients you have to include – saving you money and making you healthier. Throw veggies with all your foods – your stews, casseroles, stir-fries, pastas, soups and anything else you can think of.
4. Have at least 2 vegetarian meals a week
Vegetarian meals are less expensive than other meals. So by including 2 veggie meals in your week, you’ll save on money while eating healthy. You may even end up losing weight.
5. Eat smaller meat portions
Take your normal portion size of meat, divide it in half and only have half the portion. You can then add other less expensive proteins like cottage cheese and feta – it will save you lots of money while also making your meals more interesting.
Just implement these tips and your meals will be healthier while not busting your budget (you may save a few bucks). If you want to get a six pack, you have to check out the truth about abs.But before you do, read the truth about six pack abs review.
