A Small Greenhouse To Grow Veggies
I love home grown tomatoes. There is nothing in the world like a home grown tomato. There was a song in the 70′s about the joy and bliss of eating tomatoes grown at home and I have to say I agree wholeheartedly.
In northern climes it can be difficult to grow tomatoes that have time to ripen properly because the growing season tends to be short. The answer is to use a small greenhouse to extend the growing months and enjoy those tomatoes from mid summer clear into the fall. I have found that tomatoes continue to grow even after the first frost if they are protected and the soil is warmed enough during the day.
A greenhouse covering works great to allow the sun’s heat in and then trap it in the soil to be given up at night. Start your tomato growing hobby today.
The sooner you get your greenhouse up and running, so to speak, the faster you’ll be able to enjoy your tomatoes and other vegetables for that matter. If you live in one of those difficult climates, you may need to adjust the amount of sunlight that your little garden gets. You can do this in a variety of ways, depending on the type of plants you are growing. One way to be able to move your garden around is by having a portable greenhouse to help.
These styles are not really meant to be moved around much during the day to achieve more sunlight, but they can certainly be modified to give you such a feature. They could also be utilized to have a garden in one part of your yard for one season and then another part for a different season. As the sun moves across the sky differently during the seasons, this will give you a good way to achieve your desired result – bountiful baskets! You could also use a bunch of garden pots to achieve a similar effect, but it is much more laborious of a process.
