Antique bottles and other strange collectables
People collect the weirdest things. Normal collectors will gather small items like stamps, books, coins, notes, miniature cars and thimbles but others will collect the off-the-wall stuff, some of which is quite large. Among the odd things in collections that come to mind are road signs (which is illegal), shoes (by the hundred), newspapers (a fire hazard), hand tools (mostly never used more than once) and stranger still, antique bottles (antique glass bottles if you don’t mind). Glass is dangerous and especially glass made hundreds of years ago which will be brittle with age and is difficult to clean and can give the most severe cuts if one is not careful when handling it. Research what you are going to collect beforehand and consider the after effects like storage (if collectibles are large) and the potential dangers (hygienic and handling). My advice is to start with postal stamps which is nice and safe except for the paper cuts. Licking stamps can be sore if you cut your tongue. So treat your hobby with care.
