With more people doing work out of their homes these days, it is becoming almost essential for a person to have access to a scanner and a printer in their home. Most machines are able to do even more than these basic functions.
Having an a3 printer scanner can be a great asset for you at home, as you can do both functions on one machine, and you can print up to 17” by 11”. Of course, any machine that can print in that size is able to print in smaller sizes as well. It is likely that whatever machine you buy will have even more applications that you can make use of.

Due to the size and capabilities of an a3 printer scanner it can come in handy when you need to scan something that is not a typical size, such as a newspaper. Just set it down on the glass in whichever direction will work best, and you are ready to do whatever you need to with it.
Typically, any machine you get that has a printer and a scanner in it is able to photocopy as well, as that is essentially printing a scan. It does not hurt to double check the specifications of the machine you are looking at to make sure that it can.
Check to see how the machine runs. Do you need to plug it into a computer or can you run it wirelessly? These days with people having laptops with wireless internet, you may prefer to get a machine that does not need wires. This is also beneficial just from a neatness aspect, as you will not need to have wires running all over the place. Another benefit to a wireless printer is that you can be in one room and you can print in another.
You will find that once you have one of these machines you will not know how you lived without one in the past. The A3 printer scanner will help you stay a little bit more organized.
