The Beauty of Garden Decking
Garden decking is a very simple design feature that uses natural wood material to create simple lines to create wonderful spaces in your garden for socializing and outdoor living. A wooden deck is a very cost effective alternative to traditional patio paving and can marry a garden together beautifully, especially if it is combined with fencing, gates and steps.
Timber decking is best constructed out of hard woods as softwoods require continual maintenance and treatments. If a softwood is used then it is imperative that it is planed down first to prevent splintering and it is treated with preservatives before being laid and at regular intervals after it has been in use for a short while so that it lasts longer in the elements.
