Best Times To Get A Good Deal On A Horse
Cheap horses for sale can be incredibly hard to come by. If you’re looking for a good deal on a good horse here a few opputunities that will improve your odds.
- Bad Economic Times – If in your local area a large job supplier lays off people or closes down you will have an improved chance of getting a steal on a well trained horse. No matter how much they love the horse they won’t be able to feed it.
- Increased Commodity Prices – Even if the jobs are good in the area, if hay prices get too out of control the cost of feeding can just be too much. We’ve seen swings where the cost to feed a horse has swung from $40 per horse to $150 per horse. This can be a drain on a house hold’s finances.
- Law Changes – Sometimes the local government can change rules on how you can use your property. If the laws for holding livestock in your area change there can be neighborhood pressure to get rid of the horse. Usually in these times they just want the horse to have a good home.
Remember if there is no reason to sell the horse, then the seller probably isn’t telling you something.
