Cooking with gas is the first choice of most restaurants. What is it about free standing gas cookers that they like so much? The first thing about gas stoves you will notice when using one, is that you have a lot more control when using gas. When you adjust the temperature on the stove top, you will watch the flame go down. This gives you a visual clue as to how much you are turning it down.

When cooking with an electric stove top, you get no such instant clues. If you are trying to turn down the heat on an electric stove and you need it to get cooler fast, you had best remove it from the cooking element until it cools down. With gas stoves this is not a problem.

Gas is usually cheaper to use. True it isn’t by very much, however a penny here and a penny there can add up. By trimming down your budget by a few pennies on everything, you could end up saving hundreds over the year.

A free standing gas cooker do not seem to make the kitchen as hot as an electric stove. This can add to more savings seen, because the air conditioner is not having to work as hard to cool the kitchen off. If you live in the southern states then you know how beastly the summers can get.

A gas stove will keep on working if the power goes off. This can be a real plus if your power is going to be out for a while. This gives you the means to cook all that frozen food you have in the freezer, before it goes bad. Some areas get hit time and again by storms that take the power out. If you live in such an area, think about getting one of the many models of free standing gas cookers.

There was a time when the leather menu cover was all there was. This was due to various reasons, not the least of which was that restaurants had a more classy feel. In addition to this, plastics were not even invented or discovered yet. Kind of makes a little harder when you don’t have the know how. In today’s environment, it is ever more important to stand out from the crowd. Not only does your food need to stand out, but so does your menu cover. Why is this you might be wondering. Well, for many of us, we are looking for a complete experience when we dine out. We are not simply looking to have food in our stomachs. What we want is to have an evening out, enjoying ourselves and the company of others.

While it is true that a menu cover will not draw people in droves to your establishment, it will still serve as an important element to consider. You will need to make it part of your consideration if you own or manage a restaurant. With so many options to choose from these days, where does one start?

One place to begin is with the décor of your restaurant itself. You might try to walk through your doors with fresh eyes and see what you see. Does your place emit and emote the type of response you are wanting people to have? If yes, great, you are on the right track. If not, then you need to take a step back and start there. This is important because your menu will also reflect this in your food choices. So, once your look is congruent with your food’s theme, then you can move on to the next step, which is the menu cover itself.

If your food choices are more classic, then leather is a great choice. For the standard steakhouse, this is a wise investment. Sure, there are leatherette covers that can be quite suitable in given situations, but you just can’t replace real leather’s feel and touch. If you have a more contemporary take on classic dishes or a modern food selection, then going with a more eclectic menu cover could work great. This style would consist of some degree of metal in it. There are stainless steel options, copper, bronze or aluminum. These can be textured, polished, stamped or cut with logos and names, and even treated with specific agents to create a nice patina effect. You may also choose from woods, bamboo or even fabrics. As you can tell, the choices are many. For more information about the various menu cover ideas, visit Menu Cover Info.
