Dressing Up Leather Slipper Boots
One of the most common materials used for shorter slipper boots is leather. It is usually a soft and pliable leather or suede so that the boot is easy to get on over the heel and ankle. Since there is no knitted fabric like you will find taller varieties, there are not as many patterns. You can dye leather, but usually you dye all the leather the same color so it is difficult to add decoration. On material that is added to leather slipper boots quite often is fur. Furry slipper boots can have just a small ring of fur around the top or they can be covered completely in fur. Another added benefit is that the fur makes the shoe much warmer. A possible downside to fur is that it is easy to get it wet and dirty. Once fur gets wet, it is difficult to get back the softness once it dries.
