Fall is Time for a Gardener to Make Plans
Well, fall is upon us and it’s time to clean your trowel, oil your favorite pruning shears and put away the gardening tools and to push thoughts of flower gardening aside until the spring. Or is it? If you’re an avid gardener, Fall is the perfect time to bring out the gardening books and start planning your garden design for the upcoming spring or maybe to consider doing some container gardening.
Think about how you would like for your flower garden to look next spring and summer. What colors will you choose for your garden flowers? Will you opt for annuals, perennials, or maybe a combination of the two? Will your garden design include a stone border? Perhaps you’ll opt for organic gardening next year. Maybe you’ll even add a fountain or birdbath to the scene. Whatever you dream of for your perfect garden design you’ll find a wealth of ideas in gardening books and magazines.
Once you have your garden design laid out all that is left is to wait for the ground to thaw so you can break out your gardening tools again. Just imagine how proud you will be to announce that you are the designer of this beautiful garden. You don’t even have to tell anyone that your inspiration came from gardening books.
