A babies needs are relatively simple. It can get by with 3 very basic essentials that you as a parent will supply, they are food, shelter, and emotional support. First off there is food, which can be provided in a couple of different ways. Many health-care professionals will tell you there is no substitute for breast milk, where as others will say formula is equally as good. Next up comes shelter or warmth, this is the home you provide and the things like fleece baby blankets that help keep your baby warm. Finally there is emotional support or love. For the majority of new parents this comes naturally and is available in plenty of supply from day one, there are some parents who struggle in this area initially and who need lots of medical support in the early days.
