Gucci Mane Writing On The Wall (Mixtape)
One of the most popular Gucci Mane mixtapes is called “Writing On The Wall.” This piece of music came out in 2009 after he was released from jail. The reason that he was locked up in the first place was because of the fact that he violated his probation. During the time that he was incarcerated, he came up with new creative ideas that he could use in order to make music. He wanted to do something special for his fans and release as much mixtape material for the streets as he could. His effort after getting released really paid off in the long run, he gained a lot of media exposure and even won the mixtape artist of the year as named by MTV.
The particular Gucci Mane writing on the wall tape that came out within one week after he was released really took the hip hop game by storm. Nobody expected his music to be as good as it was and everybody doubted that Gucci’s rhyming skill would be up to par. When people think about going to jail, they usually associate it as time for skills on the microphone to deteriorate. However, when you are truly passionate about something like music, your skills can actually improve if you work hard.
Gucci Mane is a perfect example of the fact that if you use your time wisely and focus your energy towards your passions, you can accomplish anything. After releasing four more mixtapes, he also came out with a major label album called “The State vs. Radric Davis.” This project included a lot of great songs that most fans really seemed to enjoy. His album went gold (e.g. sold in excess of 500,000 units) during the time that he was imprisoned. It is clear that people are going to continue to support Gucci Mane no matter what direction his career is headed.
