Napa, California
Napa is the heart of the Napa Valley and Wine Country. Viticulture and tourism are what keeps Napa’s wheels turning. The benefit of these things for the locals of Napa is great food and wine. There are many world class restaurants within walking distance of each other in Downtown Napa as well as wine tasting rooms. The restaurants vary from legendary burgers and pizza to upscale vegetarian cuisine, all
from renowned chefs. The wine tasting rooms allow you to taste many different varietals of wine from lots of different wineries. These tasting rooms are owned and operated by local wineries, which gives you the opportunity to taste almost everything that the Napa Valley has to offer in just a few stops.
There is probably more to this region than most people first think about. True enough, the wine is what makes this great place tick. But, there are also other things about the food culture that are great assets to the community. Many of the local chefs and wineries also rely on the local farmers for their fresh organic ingredients to serve in their restaurants. Not only does this add to the wonderful flavor of the dishes, but it supports the local economy as well.
Yes, much of the wine market is commercialized. There is no doubt about this fact. But, by enlisting the local community, these wineries, both large and small do make a difference. This is one area where the notion of the ‘green revolution’ and sustainable living are not lost. You wouldn’t think anything less, being that it is California, after all. Northern California, no less!
So, if you’re planning a vacation and want to enjoy a place like no other, Napa is one of the finest tourist destinations in the world, come see for yourself! We’d love to see you!
