Styles of Twin Platform Bed

While they may not be the most elegant bed, a twin platform bed can serve many purposes. Many of them are primarily designed to gain maximum space out in a room. They are definitely very minimalistic in design and while this may be a con for some people, many others find it is an advantage.

With the design being so simple, the bed can fit in with any style of decor. It certainly does not draw attention to itself, nor will it be a focal point of any bedroom. This can be very much to its advantage, especially in a room where you either have no focused theme, or alternatively where you have a richly themed room that is difficult to find furniture for. It is also great for teenagers’ rooms as they often like larger sized bed and if you are a little short on space as you can buy these beds with built in drawers underneath.  Twin beds for kids are a great choice.

With a twin platform bed, most do not have a headboard although you can find some with a small headboard. Basically they are as they are described, a platform that you can place a mattress on. Oftentimes these beds are quite low to the floor which is a plus if you are adding them to a child’s room for a couple of children to sleep together on. Some people find them a little too low for an adult to sleep on regularly, although they can be great for a guest room.

Some beds are more boxlike with no storage space whatsoever underneath. Others have built-in drawers, anywhere from 2 to 6, which can store all sorts of items. These types of beds are perfect for people who love to store knickknacks under their bed, or who just generally have a lot of items in their room. It makes it very easy to clean up and the room stays neat and tidy.
