Why Consider Cubic Zirconia Rings Set in Gold

There is a another plus to buying CZ over diamonds, aside from the price, which goes without saying, the jewelers themselves can afford to craft more unique and usually classy CZ engagement sets because they can play with more variety of stones. They are not limited to a .25 size center diamond or teeny accents, but can create a .50 or a 1 carat central stone as a solitaire and freely add pave accents on the sides and shank and embellish the wedding band as well. The stones aren’t so large as to look fake and yet they are just that little bit bigger than what you could afford if they were diamonds to make them really sparkle and get noticed.

Jewelers who must invest in diamonds simply can’t afford to have as much fun with their creations unless their clients are very wealthy. And when CZs are set in gold, you can replace the stones and resize and do everything you could to an expensive ring, in fact you can even later have the cubic zirconia replaced with diamonds using the same settings. If you choose a cheap costume setting of rhodium plated silver or brass with gold plating or some other cheap metal, the bands will tarnish or chip or scratch simply won’t be worth adding real stones to.
