			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>One of the things that many senior citizens have a with aging is the loss of strength and flexibility along with balance.  No more! The new rage in senior citizen communities and retirement centers is chair yoga.  These seniors are finding out that they can regain quite a bit of the vitality, flexibility and an amazing increase in strength that they previously thought was lost to them just by practicing yoga several times a week.  Senior citizen yoga teachers can even replicate most floor mat poses by using chairs so that it is easier on the joints of seniors.<br />
It is estimated that over 13 million Americans practice some form of mind body exercises such as tai chi or yoga and of those 13 million plus, over 1.5 million are over 55 years old.  What is really surprising is that number is expected to rise as more and more retirement communities are offering <a href="http://hubpages.com/hub/The-Healthy-Exercise-Yoga" target="_self">yoga for seniors</a>.</p>
