Tattoo Removal and TCA Creams
Tattoo removal is a big business. There are lots of different options now, especially with the ability to market over the counter solutions online directly to the consumer. This situation has created an opening for TCA peels – or TCA creams – to make a comeback. Popular a few decades ago, TCA methods largely disappeared as things like laser removal took over. However, laser removal often costs a person thousands dollars. TCA peels, on the other hand – well, you can buy a small bottle for about $50 US that can (supposedly) remove a small tattoo, or at least significantly fade it (according to the Tattoo Removal Creams Guide)
There are many detractors against using TCA. Some people say it is unsafe – that the risk of scarring in high, especially because its use is not administered by a professional. There is definitely something to be said about such a statement: it should give anyone pause who is thinking of buying TCA and using it at home.
That being said, if you are determined to try out low cost solutions to tattoo removal, I suggest you also look into over the counter tattoo removal creams, as the price is about the same, but there is no pain and no scarring involved. And if the controversy over TCA didn’t stop you, then you’re in luck, and the controversy over the use of tattoo removal creams is just beginning.
