Weird Cattle
Cattle are pretty common throughout the world. These barnyard creatures are not really something that we think of when someone is talking about weird animals, but believe it or not there are a few out there that qualify some cattle as truly freaky weird animals.
The first animal that I am going to talk about is not really all that unusual it was just a normal looking ox calf that was born at the Yamakun Farm near Tokyo, Japan. What made this dark brown little guy unique was the fact that it had a near perfect white patch on its forehead in
the shape of a heart. Pictures of this ox were widespread over the internet a few years back, and he got the nickname of the Valentine’s day calf.
Our next weird animal on the list is a huge Freisian Steer named Chilli. Chilli has the claim to fame as being Britain’s Biggest Bovine. Chilli’s masive body measures out to an incredible 6 foot 7 inches long and an unbelievable 6 foot 6 inches tall from it’s hoof to the top of it’s shoulder. Plus this overly large bovine weighs in at over a ton! Pictures of Chilli are definitely worth checking out on the internet. They almost look like they are photo-shopped when he is standing next to his care takers.
You have probably heard the old saying that if you mess with the bull your liable to get the horns, well this next bull is definitely one animal that you do not want to get the horns from. His name is Lurch, and he is a Watusi bull that holds the record for the worlds largest horns. Watusi cattle are world known for their incredibly large horns, but Lurch’s horns are just massive compared to the average Watusi bull. Lurch’s horns weigh an incredible 100 pounds each and make you wonder how he is even able to lift his head up with that much weight on top of his head.
These are just a few examples of the many strange looking cattle out there. I highly recommend that if you get the chance that you check out some pictures of these incredible creatures.
