Most people think of honeymoons on tropical islands surrounded by sand, waves, and an ever present sun. However, not everyone wants that type of honeymoon. What if you love snow, winter activities, and cuddling by the fire while a blizzard happens outside? Then winter honeymoon destinations are for you.
There really are a lot of options for those looking for winter destinations for their honeymoon. If it is winter in the Northern Hemisphere then any major city you have always wanted to see could be the perfect spot for you. This could be Chicago, New York, Toronto, Paris, or London. Most cities in the north will have a beautiful winter for you.
If you want something a little more then site seeing in your favorite city then you may want to consider visiting a ski resort. Many ski resorts located high in the mountains offer skiing through a wide season, so even if spring has hit in your location you may find the perfect honeymoon waiting for you.
If skiing isn’t your thing, but the mountains seem like a great place to go you can also visit a spa of the Alps for a great winter honeymoon. These can be relaxing and you can even find private cabins in these areas.
Another option is the Patagonia a section of South America. In this area of Argentina and Chili you will find whale watching, lots of sea life including penguin colonies, mountains, cruises, and ferries. It’s the best of a sea and mountain honeymoon rolled into one.
Don’t feel like you have to take a traditional route and go with a tropical honeymoon. There are great winter honeymoon destinations just waiting for those who love the snow, the chill in the air, and cozy cuddling!
