Yard Art – Arg!
I need to get outside and mow the lawn before the rain comes back but I am more than a little peeved about it. The issue is that my wife loves yard art and other outdoor decorations. In fact, she has gone a little overboard with them. I have learned to live with this affliction of hers. The issue is that between her art and the dog, it takes me longer to get the lawn ready to mow that it dos to actually mow it. This is the arg! part of things.

Yard Art
Here is the situation.
1) Lots of cute yard art strategically placed throughout the yard to maximize the visual effect of “whimsy”
2) One lonely dog stuck outside during the day
The Result: An amazing drama that cycles between WWF big time wrestling to romantic trysts between the dog and all of the fairly tale creatures. This play has many acts throughout the day, but it all end up with the same tragic conclusion: yard art strewn throughout the yard and poor me on the hook to clean it up to mow the lawn.
I should confess that I haven’t discouraged the dog’s antics because I find them more than a little amusing. In the big picture, it is a small price to pay for having an ever evolving soap opera of violence and romance in my very own back yard.
It should be noted that there are also many wonderfully designed pieces of ‘actual’ art as well. There are metal sculptures and other metal objects that could only be described as art. These, I would certainly not entertain the thought of running over with the lawn mower as they would actually damage my machine and my legs. You can even find many of these nice looking metal art pieces for your yard or garden at your local home improvement stores.
