Tired of Zebra Patterns? Try Snow Leopard | Bedding Choices
Teenagers and many adults have been taken with zebra print bedding for years. There is something about the exotic look of zebra stripes that spice up the bedroom decor. Over the past few years we have seen a meteoric rise in zebra styles and designs, everything from hot pink and black zebra prints to purple or green mixed with the black stripes.
What was once daring and different has become rather run of the mill in bedding. That is not to say that zebra bedding is not still a favorite among some. However, what once was for those who dared to be different has flooded the market. No longer do consumers stand in awe of those bold stripes, regardless of the color combination.
While still loving the exotic, many consumers have recently sought the snow leopard patterned bedding. The colors remain true to the animal itself, for the most part. The spots are a softer blend and less stark and glaring than the bold stripes of the zebra. In fact, many of the bedding ensembles that sport the snow leopard spots offer a subtle blend from heavier spotting along one end of the comforter to an almost white with minimal spots at the other. This new animal print actually looks more like the skin of the snow leopard than the continuous striped patterns that defined zebra print bedding.
The combination of black fading to grey as the rings surround the shaded browns that fill the spots placed on an off white background have been recently defined as neutral. The top designers are claiming that the animal print works well with any accent color creating a stir among consumers who are not willing to give up their favorite colors. With the new trend of the snow leopard pattern being considered neutral, there is a new pattern available to those who are ready to send the zebra back to the Serengeti plains and welcome the wild side of the snow leopard.
